ADHA is pleased to announce that continuing education credits are now available to registered dental hygienists interested in acquiring the most up-to-date, evidence-based information on the prevention and treatment of nicotine dependence. "Basic Skills for Working with Smokers" is a self-paced, online course designed as an introduction to the basic concepts needed by dental hygienists to effectively intervene with tobacco users.

The course, designed by the University of Massachusetts Medical School, compliments the ADHA's Smoking Cessation Initiative content.
