THE PURSUIT OF LOCAL ANESTHETIC ADMINISTRATION FOR HYGIENISTS IS COMPLETE!!

Governor Mitch Daniels has signed HB1172's rules and regulations into law, effective January 2, 2011. Click here for a copy of the final rules & regulations for dental hygienists to administer local anesthetic & dental assistants to coronal polish & apply fluoride treatments.

The IN Professional Licensing Agency website now has the dental hygiene anesthesia permit applications and instructions posted here (DENTAL HYGIENE ANESTHETIC PERMIT APPLICATION AND INSTRUCTIONS) and dental assistants' affidavit requirements (CARIES PREVENTION AND CORONAL POLISHING BY DENTAL ASSISTANTS). Dental hygienists can now print off the application and apply.
