Meetings and continuing education available in Fort Wayne and the Elkhart/Goshen area, most featuring a social time with light refreshments! Unless otherwise specified, meetings offering one (1) Continuing Education Unit (CEU) are $25 for non-members and FREE to members!

2017-2018 Meetings

August 21, 2017 (Monday): Social Time 6:00 PM, CE starts at 6:30. Topic: Ethics and Indiana Dental Law.  Speaker: Kathy Nahrwold, LDH.   2 CEUs, $50 non-members and $40 members. 

Location:  Goshen College, 1700 S. Main St.  Goshen

September 20, 2017 (Wednesday):  Social Hour 6:00 PM, CE/meeting begins at 7:00.

Topic: Keeping up with the CDC   Speakers: Nichole Dicke, RDH, MSDH and Jennifer Bryant, RDH, MDEd.     1 CEU  FREE TO ALL MEMBER AND NON-MEMBER ATTENDEES!!!

Location: Downtown Ft. Wayne ACPL.

October 18, 2017 (Wednesday): Social time 6:00 PM, CE/meeting begins at 6:30. Topic: Mental Health First Aid.  Speaker: Amanda Noland.  1 CEU.  Location: Elkhart Health Education Building, 2222 Reith Blvd, Goshen.

October 28, 2017 (Saturday):  Continuing Education Course.  Topic #1: Ethics and Indiana Dental Law. 2 CEUs ($60).  9:00-11:00 AM (sign-in at 8:30). Topic #2: CPR for the Health Care Provider. 5 CEUs ($75).  11:30  AM – 3:30 PM  (sign-in at 11:00).  Both topics located at IPFW (rooms TBA) and presented by Kathy Nahrwold, LDH.  Registration required through IPFW Department of Continuing Studies. November 16, 2017 (Thursday): Holiday Auction/Party  (Benefits Matthew 25 patients and IPFW DH students).  Location: Cazadores Event Center 3921 ½ Horman Rd.  Fort Wayne, 46816  Dinner, Entertainment, Live and Silent Auctions  6-9 pm.  RSVP required.

December 4, 2017 (Monday): Potluck/fill dental gift bags for local nursing home residents.  Social time 6:00 PM, meeting begins at 6:30.  Topic:  Missions,  Speaker: Becky Alles, RDH 

1 CEU.   Location:  Melissa Spriggs’ home, 926 Foxbriar Lane, Goshen.

January 17, 2018 (Wednesday):Evening CE Course. Local Anesthesia Didactic Review.  Speakers:  Dr. Roger and Dr. Brenda Valliere. 2 CEUs, only $25 for non-members and FREE to members!  Location:  Downtown Fort Wayne ACPL This is a 2 hour course and will start promptly at 6:00 pm. Pre-registration encouraged, onsite registration as space allows.

March 7, 2018 (Wednesday): Social time 6:00 PM, CE/meeting is from 6:30-8:30pm.

Topic: Ergonomics.  Speaker: Tom Banks. 2 CEUs. Location: Christiana Creek Dental Care, 301 W. Bristol St., Elkhart.

April 18, 2018 (Wednesday): Social hour 6:00 PM, CE/meeting begins at 7:00.

Topic:  Pharmacology and the dental patient.  Speaker: TBA .  1 CEU. Location: Downtown Ft Wayne, ACPL

May 3, 2018 (Thursday): Social time 6:00 PM, CE/meeting begins at 6:30. Topic: Forensics.  Speaker:  TBA. 1 CEU.  Location Elkhart Health Education Building, 2222 Reith Blvd. Goshen.
