MISSION STATEMENT OF THE INDIANA DENTAL HYGIENISTS’ ASSOCIATION

To improve the public’s health, the mission of the Indiana Dental Hygienists’ Association is to advance
the art and science of dental hygiene by ensuring access to quality oral health care, increasing awareness of

the cost-effective benefits of prevention, promoting the highest standards of dental hygiene education,
licensure, practice and research, and representing and promoting the interests of dental hygienists.

CAN I BELONG TO ONLY MY COMPONENT? HOW MUCH ARE DUES?

No. You must belong to all of the following organizations: ADHA, IDHA, and your local component.
New members are encouraged to attend local component meetings and to network with experienced colleagues outside the work setting. Membership provides united voices representing the future interests of hygienists, and protection of the dental hygiene profession.

HOW MUCH OF MY DUES ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Based on our IRS status, dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. They may be deductible as a business expense.

Note:   $54.40 of your IDHA annual dues is not tax deductible.  This portion of your dues is spent on lobbying and legislative activities which is not tax deductible.  $4.25 of your National Dues are allocated to lobbying activities.  

As always check with your accountant or tax consultant to verify all application tax deductions.

WHAT ARE THE CURRENT ADHA MEMBERSHIP RATES FOR THE STATE OF INDIANA?

ADHA National Dues: $196                                  IDHA Constituent Dues: $92                                  All IDHA Component Dues: $10

 

$6.00 and $5.00 of ADHA yearly membership dues are allocated for subscriptions to the Journal of Dental Hygiene and Access, respectively.

WHO DECIDES MY LOCAL DENTAL HYGIENE COMPONENT?

ADHA assigns you to the component in which you live. You may request membership in the component where you work or live. This may be accomplished by contacting ADHA Member Services at member.services@adha.net or call 1-312-440-8900.
